Hello and Welcome to Tin Soldiers and Tiny Wars

Hello
I've decided that my Facebook friends should no longer be subjected to hundreds of pictures of little lead men doing god knows what to god knows who.  I will blog that stuff henceforth.

Case in point:

 Photo: Ready for the taking
this is a typical woodland fort for either FIW or AWI scenarios.  In my current game of Long Rifle a two hour wargames game this is where my protagonist will sell his pelts in October before winter sets in.  Long Rifle is a kind of  Last of the Mohicans vibe and is very fun solo play.

Trying to get said pelts.  Turnkey miniatures makes an entire line of woodland creatures.
Photo: For my sister Kristi who loves "The Last of the Mohicans"
Here are some Woodland Indians by Perry Brothers, i love the sculpts.  It took me a long time to put paint on these guys as I didn't want to mess them up
Photo: British column moves towards the church
This is a display only picture, i wanted to see how all of my AWI British would look on the table at once.  Someday I hope to game with them using the 2 hour wargame rule set Muskets and Mohawks.
Photo: 16th Royal Dragoons
16th Dragoons.  I used some left over Old Glory Continental Calvary.  These are terrible sculpts, no definition at all, a real chore to paint.  Proving that in the world of miniatures you get what you pay for.

Bolt Action...this is very Saving Private Ryan to me...as the Rangers push past a burning panzer
